The average of all the specimen coins selected (273) was 800.53 which is a very close approximation to standard, but it is ovident that a considerable amount of the coins are not within the requirements of the law. is to be observed that only two of the eight specimen coins assayed are below standard, the remainder being above, and there is therefore no suspicion of unfair dealing in the matter.
